The coin was inspired by the Japanese breed of the same name and became a meme coin, with Elon Musk and Vitalik Buterin's tweets contributing to its popularity. Shiba Inu aims to become a partner on the Ethereum network for the Scrypt Dogecoin algorithm. The Shiba Inu token (SHIB) is part of a collection of cryptocurrencies with a dog theme, which includes Baby Dogecoin (BabyDoge), Dogecoin (DOGE), JINDO INU (JIND), Alaska Inu (LAS), and Alaskan Malamute Token (LASM). 

Shiba Inu has become one of the most popular cryptocurrencies, ranking in the top 15 based on market capitalization. Shiba Inu (SHIB) is also the second-largest meme coin after Dogecoin.

As of April 16, 2024, SHIB Coin has decreased by 8.11% in the last 24 hours. The current price is Rp 0.3527, with a 24-hour trading volume of Rp 14.5 trillion. The coin's market capitalization is around Rp 207.8 trillion, and a total of 549 trillion SHIB Coins have been distributed out of the maximum supply.
