Grok-3 vs. GPT-4.5: The AI Battle Heats Up
Is this just more hype, or is the AI race reaching a new level? Elon Musk is set to launch Grok-3, claiming it’s “scary smart” and better than anything released so far. This puts his company, xAI, in direct competition with OpenAI and Anthropic.
Musk’s announcement triggered a reaction from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who hinted that GPT-4.5 is very close to achieving artificial general intelligence (AGI). But how soon will it be released?
Altman previously challenged Musk, telling Bloomberg, "Just compete by building a better product." Now, Musk is eager to prove he can do just that.
Can Grok-3 Beat GPT-4.5?
So far, xAI’s models haven’t been as impressive as the competition, so many are skeptical of Musk’s bold claims. However, Grok-3 has been trained using a massive supercomputer with 100,000 Nvidia GPUs—much larger than what GPT-4 used. If Musk’s claims are true, this could put serious pressure on the AI industry.
