Hamster Kombat Expands with New Blockchain and HamsterVerse

Hamster Kombat, a popular Telegram-based tap-to-earn game, has launched Hamster Network, a Layer-2 blockchain built on The Open Network (TON). This new technology will make Web3 gaming faster and cheaper.

What is Hamster Network?

Hamster Network is the first gaming-focused Layer-2 blockchain on TON. It is designed to handle a large number of transactions with low fees, making it easier for developers to create and grow blockchain games.

The network uses TON Virtual Machine (TVM) and TON-compatible smart contracts, allowing developers to move their dApps (decentralized applications) smoothly. At the same time, all transaction records stay on TON’s Layer-1 for better security and decentralization.

To support its ecosystem, Hamster Network offers:
✅ A native wallet for secure storage
✅ A bridge to transfer assets between blockchains
✅ A decentralized exchange (DEX) for trading

The team also launched testing quests and rewards to encourage users to help improve the network.

The Role of Telegram and TON

The Hamster Kombat team praised TON’s technology for making this expansion possible. They also highlighted Telegram’s role in spreading crypto adoption, as Telegram’s mini-apps bring Web3 technology to nearly one billion users worldwide.

What is HamsterVerse?

In addition to Hamster Network, the game has introduced HamsterVerse, an expanded ecosystem of connected games. All games and apps in HamsterVerse will use the HMSTR token, allowing players to earn more rewards.

The first games in this new ecosystem include:
???? Hamster Kombat: GameDev Hero – Focuses on game development
???? Hamster Fight Club – A competitive fighting game
???? Hamster King – A strategy-based game

Hamster Kombat’s Journey

Hamster Kombat became a viral hit last year, attracting over 300 million players at its peak. However, after the game’s token launch, the number of active users dropped to less than 20 million per month.

With these new updates, the team hopes to revive interest and expand the gaming experience for its community.
