NFT Sales Drop 13.72 Percent in a Week

Jakarta - For the past week, the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) sales volume has experienced another week-on-week decline, marking a 13.72% drop in a week.

Reported by Bitcoin.com on Monday (4/8/2024), this decline marks a four-week streak of declining NFT sales, in stark contrast to the record-breaking achievements that occurred in March. During this period, the splendor of trading volumes did not extend to digital collectibles.

Six leading blockchains in NFT sales recorded weekly declines. In this case, the leader in NFT sales was the Bitcoin blockchain, which collected USD 66.67 million or the equivalent of Rp 1.05 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp 15,887 per US dollar), experiencing a 17.99% decrease from the previous week's figures.

Ethereum secured the second position with sales of USD 63.98 million or the equivalent of Rp 1.01 trillion, experiencing an 8.89% decline. Following Ethereum, Solana with a 12.70% decline, Mythos down 4.36%, and Polygon with a 19.7% decline, complete the top five blockchain platforms based on NFT sales volume.

Leading the pack in NFT collections, Uncategorized Ordinals collected USD 21.11 million or the equivalent of Rp 335.3 billion, while the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection claimed the second highest volume for the week with USD 6.68 million or the equivalent of Rp 106.1 billion, according to cryptoslam statistics.
