Sales of NFTs Drop 16%, Most Sought-After Collection

Jakarta - The non-fungible token (NFT) market experienced a significant decline last week, resulting in a nearly 16% drop in sales due to a 17% surge the previous week. The Ethereum network led the way with USD 39.28 million in sales, a significant increase of 14.48% from the previous week.

This surge was accompanied by a real increase in active buyers in the Ethereum NFT space, which rose by nearly 48% to 23,586. The network also saw a significant increase in wash trading, rising by 35.49% to over USD 34 million.

According to Crypto News, the highest sales last week came from the Ethereum blockchain, with an NFT selling for USD 587,194. Bitcoin Ordinal, Protoshroom #6, was sold for USD 237,373, while Polygon TTAvatars #128003 was sold for USD 100,500.

DeezNode #052 Solana was sold for USD 77,839, surpassing BNB NFT, Ape Treasury Bill V2 V3 #12668, which was sold for USD 31,516. Among its collections, Guild of Guardians Avatars from Immutable had the highest sales volume in the last seven days, generating over USD 8.1 million in 1,614 transactions.

Following this, PIZZA NFT Bitcoin generated USD 7.3 million, a drastic 60% drop from the previous week.

A new name in the top five collections ranked by sales volume is Ethereum Name Service (ENS), which secured third place with NFT sales worth over USD 5.3 million. This figure represents an extraordinary increase of 1022%, with only 295 buyers.

The DMarket collection in Mythos earned USD 4.6 million from nearly 190,000 transactions, while the Bitcoin Puppets from the Bitcoin network secured the #5 spot with sales of around USD 2.7 million.
