Uniswap Launches New Ethereum Layer-2 Blockchain, Unichain
Uniswap, the top decentralized exchange, has officially launched its new Ethereum (ETH) layer-2 blockchain called Unichain.
According to Uniswap Labs, Unichain is designed to make decentralized finance (DeFi) transactions faster and cheaper on Ethereum. Developers can now start building apps, launching tokens, and using stablecoins. Users can also fund wallets, swap tokens, provide liquidity, and explore new apps.

Shortly after its launch, Coinbase announced support for Unichain, allowing users to easily convert fiat into crypto with fee-free USDC on-ramping.
Uniswap Labs had first revealed Unichain last month, stating that once tested for safety and stability, the mainnet would be fully open for everyone to use. Now that moment has arrived!
