Claynosaurz Expands to Sui Blockchain with New NFTs and Upcoming Game
Claynosaurz, an entertainment brand focused on NFTs, is expanding from Solana to a new blockchain called Sui.
This news was shared at the Token2049 Sui Basecamp event, where Claynosaurz CEO Andrew Pelekis explained that the team is looking to create more interactive digital experiences. These will include new NFTs, games, and ways for the community to get involved.
In March, Claynosaurz announced it would use Walrus Protocol, a decentralized storage system from the creators of Sui, as its main platform. Now, with this tech in place, Claynosaurz is preparing to launch new experiences built on Sui.
“We’re not just moving to another blockchain—we’re expanding to create better entertainment,” said Pelekis. “Sui gives us a flexible and scalable foundation to build products that are smooth, fun, and rewarding for both experienced Web3 users and newcomers.”
The original Claynosaurz NFTs will stay on Solana, but new parts of the project will be on Sui from now on.
“The first collections will always be on Solana,” said Claynosaurz founder Nicholas Cabana. “But for new collections and experiences, we’re moving to Sui.”
The first new feature is an achievements system, where players can earn rewards for participating in activities like gameplay, collecting, and creative contributions. While the original Solana-based NFTs will still be part of the system, the badges and rewards will be created on Sui. The system also allows users to earn rewards from both Solana and Sui assets through “soft staking.”
This month, Claynosaurz will launch a new collection called Popkins, which introduces a new species into the Claynosaurz universe. There will be 25,000 Popkins characters on Sui. Instead of a regular mint, collectors can buy themed booster packs that include rewards like discounts or in-game cosmetics. Inside each pack, there’s a chance to “catch” a Popkin, but it’s not guaranteed.
Later in 2025, Claynosaurz will release its first mobile game for iOS and Android. The game will feature real-time creature battles and world-building, but the blockchain part of the game will be hidden from players. The game is designed to appeal to casual players who aren’t familiar with Web3, while still using Web3 technology behind the scenes.
Claynosaurz’s move to Sui is driven by the need for better technology and community growth. The team believes that Sui will help them create the best on-chain experiences through storytelling, games, and collectible NFTs.
