Kyrgyzstan Boosts Blockchain Adoption With Binance Support

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s growing role in blockchain and digital finance after his recent visit to the country. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between Binance and Kyrgyz authorities and promote blockchain use in education, finance, and technology.

On social media platform X on October 25, CZ said:
"Had a great time in Kyrgyzstan in the past two days. I encourage more crypto companies to explore the country too."

Key updates from his visit include:

  • Kyrgyzstan’s national stablecoin launched on Binance’s BNB Chain.
  • The country’s central bank digital currency (CBDC) is ready, first for government payments.
  • A national cryptocurrency reserve now includes Binance Coin (BNB).
  • Law enforcement received blockchain training, and the Binance App was localized for the country.
  • Binance Academy partnered with 10 top universities.
  • A Binance Meetup in Bishkek drew over 1,000 participants.

CZ also praised blockchain firm Ethsign and investor YZI Labs for their contributions, stressing that Binance aims to add “real strategic value, not just investment.”

Earlier, on October 23, CZ met with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov at the second National Council on Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies. Japarov shared that the meeting set key tasks for the future and gave him a chance to discuss crypto, stablecoins, tokens, and blockchain technologies with CZ.

These developments show Kyrgyzstan’s push to use blockchain in government and finance, aiming for more transparency and innovation. Experts say the country could become a regional example of digital transformation.
