The number of transactions carried out entirely by artificial intelligence (AI) agents on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is approaching 1 million. According to data from t54, the increase comes as the broader crypto market recovers in July. The surge has also strengthened market expectations that XRP’s recent price rally could prove technically sustainable.

AI Activity Boosts Network Momentum

XRP gained nearly 3% over the past 24 hours, climbing to US$1.1194. The rally pushed the token above the midline of the Bollinger Bands at US$1.1112 on the daily chart. In the short term, traders are watching the upper Bollinger Band at US$1.2320 as the next key technical resistance level.

The rebound in XRP’s price has coincided with a sharp increase in transaction volumes generated by AI agents on the XRP Ledger.

The main driver behind this development is XRPL x402, a payment solution developed by the t54 team with support from Ripple. The technology uses the internet’s 402 Payment Required status code, enabling AI bots to make direct payments to one another for computing power or data access.

The model eliminates the need to manually manage crypto wallets or purchase complex API keys by automating the entire payment process. The growing volume of machine-to-machine transactions using native tokens and stablecoins on the XRP Ledger has emerged as a positive narrative supporting XRP’s outlook amid the broader crypto market recovery.

Technical Outlook Focuses on the US$1.3147 Level

The surge in automated payments is also attracting attention for its potential impact on XRP’s long-term supply dynamics. A portion of the fee from every on-chain transaction on the XRP Ledger is permanently burned, meaning the circulating supply could gradually decline as network activity continues to increase.
