DeGods NFT Creator Steps Down as Sales Increase

The creator of the popular DeGods NFT collection, Rohun Vora (also known as “Frank DeGods” online), has stepped down as the CEO after leading the project for three years.

He announced on social media that he’s leaving the role and named two new leaders: 0x_chill and Pastagotsauce. Vora also made it clear that he is not involved in any legal trouble. “There are no investigations. I’ve never done anything illegal,” he wrote.

This news came as DeGods NFTs are seeing a rise in sales on both the Ethereum and Solana blockchains. According to data from CryptoSlam:

  • On Solana, DeGods made about $458,000 in sales on May 12, which is 101% more than the week before. Over the past 30 days, sales reached $1.1 million.
  • On Ethereum, DeGods made $104,000 in the past week, up 156%. Over the past month, total sales were $250,000, a 323% increase.

After the announcement, the new project lead, Pasta, shared plans to celebrate DeGods’ three-year history and mentioned that changes are coming. He said the focus will be on growing DeGods as much as possible—not just building crypto products.

In general, the NFT market is also doing better. From May 6 to 12, total NFT sales were over $120 million, up 17% compared to the week before.
