Dogecoin Tests Long-Term Support as Market Awaits Next Major Move

Dogecoin (DOGE) is once again trading near a key long-term support level that has historically marked the bottom of previous market cycles, according to several technical analysts. After months of price declines, the memecoin has entered this critical zone, raising speculation over whether it is preparing for a new accumulation phase or facing further downside.

Dogecoin revisits historical support

Technical analyst Cryptollica noted that Dogecoin is testing a rising support trendline that previously served as a major bottom during the 2015, 2020, and 2022 market cycles. In each case, DOGE experienced weak momentum and low investor interest before eventually staging a strong recovery.

While the current setup resembles previous cycles, analysts caution that historical patterns alone are not enough to confirm a market bottom. A decisive break below this long-term support would weaken the bullish outlook and increase the risk of a more prolonged decline.

Key support remains in focus

DOGE is currently trading around $0.069, down significantly from its 2024 peak of roughly $0.48. The price also remains below a descending resistance trendline, indicating that sellers continue to dominate the broader market structure.

Even so, the risk-to-reward profile remains favorable as long as this key support holds. However, a weekly close below $0.055 could invalidate the long-term support thesis and pave the way for a deeper bearish trend.

For now, Dogecoin is at a critical crossroads. Its price action over the coming weeks will determine whether this support level becomes the foundation for a new accumulation phase or marks the breakdown of a multiyear support floor.
